Our world is a little less wonderful today. We lost our beloved Mother, Grandmother and friend, Marge Miller.\r\n \r\nShe passed away Wednesday, December 9th, 2015 in her home.\r\n \r\nMarjorie Ruth Miller was born on March 3rd, 1924 in Corsicana, Texas. She attended Kilgore Junior College and enlisted in the Army where she was a decorated corporal. She then met the man of her dreams, Dr. JV "Doc" Miller. They were married on May 23rd, 1946 and he was the love of her life.\r\n \r\nDoc and Marge built their lives in Plainview, Texas. They were members of Saint Alice Catholic Church and Marge was a devoted member of the Altar Society for many years. She was active in Girl Scouts and was the perfect mother.\r\n \r\nThey were members of the Plainview Country Club, raised Appaloosa Horses, and she helped at Doc's chiropractic clinic west of town.\r\n \r\nIn January of 2008, Doc and Marge, or Grandy as she was known, moved to Kerrville to be closer to their children and grandchildren.\r\n \r\nShe is preceded in death by her parents, W.S. and Ruth Gilmore of Whiteface, Texas; her oldest daughter, Patricia in 1967; and her beloved Doc, who went on ahead of her in 2013.\r\n \r\nThe family finds peace knowing they are all together again in God's loving arms.\r\n \r\nShe leaves behind her Children: Jim Miller of Austin, Kathi Miller of Ingram, Lisa Watson of Kerrville, Fran Ince of Medina, and Jeff Miller in Diana. She also has 7 wonderful grandchildren and 4 beautiful great grandchildren.\r\n \r\nShe is survived by one brother, Lloyd Gilmore, or "Uncle Bud" as we knew him, in Tulsa, Oklahoma; a lifelong best friend, Jo Ann May of Plainview; and one step daughter, Beverly Clark of Plainview.\r\n \r\nThe family is forever grateful to the loving staff at Hill Country Memorial Hospice Care.\r\n
