Maj. Kelliher

Maj. Donald Hugh Kelliher (Air Force, Ret.) died on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at age 87. \r\n \r\nBorn in Malden, MA on February 27, 1931, he graduated from Malden High School in 1949. He attended and graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1954. He entered the Air Force at that time and retired in 1979 in Omaha, NE. He was stationed at various bases in the US and also spent time in Korea, the Phillippines and Vietnam. He retired once again in 2001 from his second career as General Manager of several country clubs in Nebraska, Missouri, California and Iowa. \r\n \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis Hugh Kelliher and Emma (Short) Kelliher; and his first wife, Mary Rose (Smyth) Kelliher.\r\n \r\nHis four children are daughter, Sheila Kelliher-Berkoh (Daniel) of California, sons, Kevin (Rachel Myers) of Washington State, Patrick of Corpus Christi and Michael of Kerrville. He is also survived by his wife of 52 years, Joan (Ulffers) Kelliher, also of Kerrville. There are three grandchildren, Maximus and Marley Berkoh and Eliza Rose Kelliher.\r\n \r\nServices will be held at 10 AM, Saturday June 30th, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels. Burial will be at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date.\r\n \r\nPlease no flowers. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n\r\n
