Lillian Mae Been was born on February 2,1921 to Edgar Lee Been and Lillie Brown Been of Lytle, Texas. After graduation from Lytle High School she received her RN degree from Physicians and Surgeons Hospital in San Antonio. She was a private duty nurse for the Meusbach family. \r\n \r\nOn September 5, 1942, Mae married Jack Haymaker of San Antonio, an employee of Sun Oil Company. The couple had three girls Kay, Suzie and Lillie Beth. Career moves took the Haymakers to Corpus Christi, Newhall, California and Dallas. Upon Jack's retirement in 1980, they moved to Tierra Linda Ranch in Kerrville where Mae lived until her death on April 5, 2018. \r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Haymaker; brothers, David Lee, Tuck and Jack Been; and sister, Alice Schuman. \r\n \r\nShe is survived by one brother, Autry Been and wife Peggy; daughters, Kay Elliott and husband Gene, Suzie Allen and husband Richard, Lillie Beth Pearson and husband David; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and others. \r\n \r\nA memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Trinity Baptist Church in Kerrville. \r\n \r\nThe family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Peterson Hospice or a charity of your choice.\r\n \r\n
