Mae Jeanne Forrest, 85, quietly passed away May 16th after an extended battle with Alzheimer's. Born in the Rio Grande Valley May 1, 1930, Jeanne and her husband of 64 years resided in Donna, Kerrville, and Ingram. She enjoyed working in the public schools as an administrative secretary for 27 years before retiring to extensive travel across all 50 states with her husband. She was also active in many local civic organizations as well as her church.\r\n\r\nOur beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother has been the model of partnership, guidance, and inner strength throughout the years. She is already sorely missed.\r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, Laura and Carl Boyer, and brothers York and Billy.\r\nJeanne is survived by her ‘forever and always' husband Jim, three sons; Steve (Loretta), Randy (Sally), and Larry (Megan); six grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nHer family wishes to thank her extended circle of friends for their lifetime of comradery. Those who so desire are encouraged to make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) or St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Kerrville.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be Tuesday, May 19, from 5 to 7 PM.
