Madelyn Carroll Black Walker, age 74 of Kerrville, passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 in a local care center. She was born November 14, 1943 in Kerrville, TX to O.B. Black and Norma Lee (Morris) Black and grew up in Devine, TX.\r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; grandsons, Kyle W. Walker and Ty D. Burson; and niece, Jana Black.\r\n \r\nShe is survived by children, Robbie (Christina), Rick (Barbara) and Christi (Charly); 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers and sisters, George Black, Gene Black, Patricia Leonard and Deanna Walter; and numerous nieces and nephews.\r\n \r\nMadelyn was a private duty nurse. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and loved to hunt and fish. Granny loved spending time with her grandkids, baking or playing cards, telling stories and going to all the events they were involved in. She also loved all her fur babies.\r\n \r\nShe is so loved and will be greatly missed by her family.\r\n \r\nMemorial services will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Duane Smith. \r\n \r\nThe family would like to thank the staff at River Hills Rehab, DaVita Dialysis and Peterson Hospice for being so sweet and for the wonderful care they gave her.\r\n
