Lyndell "Lyn" DeVille Carriker went to her heavenly home on March 13, 2019 after battling a long illness. Lyn's devotion to her family and firm belief in her Lord supported her in the struggles associated with her debilitating disease. \r\n\r\nLyn was born to the late Herman and Lula Mae DeVille on December 27, 1940 in Pecos, Texas. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Bob DeVille. She graduated from Falfurrias High School and attended Del Mar Community College. Lyn was a soft spoken, kind and caring mother and grandmother. She worked as the Registrar for 30+ years at the H. E. Butt Foundation and was immersed in the Christian community as a devoted pianist and loving member of Sunrise Baptist Church of Kerrville, Texas. Lyn was dedicated to God and the beauty and promise of the Word of the Lord. Lyn was a true friend and will be dearly missed by her loved ones who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her savior and creator.\r\n\r\nLyn is survived by her husband, Floyd Carriker; her son Art Brown; her daughter-in-law BiBi Brown; and her grandchildren Westin Brown and Bethany Brown.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held March 15, 2019 at 11:00 am at Sunrise Baptist Church, Kerrville, Texas officiated by Rev. Mel Hardin. Burial services will be held at the City of Comfort Cemetery following the service.\r\n\r\nMemorials are encouraged to be made to the Alzheimer's Association.\r\n\r\nLyn's family sincerely extends genuine gratitude for the thoughts, prayers, love and care given to Lyn during this trying journey.
