Lupe Rico

Mrs. Lupe Rico, 84, of Bandera, went to be with the Lord on September 29, 2016 in Bandera. She was born in Hondo, Texas to Margarita and Fernando Palomo on October 27, 1931. She married Martin Rico on January 10, 1960 in Hondo, Texas.\r\n\r\nLupe is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Martin Rico; daughter, Rebecca; son, Richard; and 7 siblings.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Moreno and husband, Mario; sons, Rudy Rico and wife, Anna, and Rocky Rico; sisters, Delia Angel, Martha Garza, Rosa Palomo and Antonia Fernandez; brothers, Chon Palomo, Ramon Palomo \r\nand Marcelino Palomo; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. \r\n\r\nA Visitation will be held 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera. A Rosary will be held 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera.\r\n\r\nA Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Father John Nolan officiating. \r\n\r\nPallbearers will be Rudy Rico, Rocky Rico, Tony Rodriguez Nick Rodriguez, Patrick Ojeda and John Albert Rico.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be given to Meals on Wheels in care of The Silver Sage, 803 Buck Creek Dr., Bandera, TX 78003 or Alzheimer's Research, Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the wonderful nurses with the River City Hospice that took care to make Lupe comfortable in her final days.
