Luis Castillo

March 29, 1981 — August 27, 2021

With deep sadness, we announce the death of Luis Alfonso Castillo Jr., age 40, of Bandera, who passed away Friday, Aug. 27th, 2021, in a Kerrville hospital. Luis was a kind, loving and gentle man who loved his family of wife and three daughters most of all. Bass fishing was his passion. He was always looking for improvement to a better house and a better truck. He loved the land he has lived on his entire life, and his father told him, would be his someday on the mountain top (his father passed last September). Luis wanted his family to have a normal life and never quit trying to achieve more. Luis worked very hard, at life, literally, as Genene Jones, the ''angel of death nurse'' to over 60 babies in the 70's and early 80's tried unsuccessfully to kill Luis with the injections to him in his lungs as a baby. He was spared death at that time by the great doctors at University Hospital in San Antonio, being transferred from Kerrville, where he had been injected. He lived a very modest life as every job he got or career he started was lost due to chronic hospital treatments his entire 40 years of life. Surviving him are his loving wife Amanda; loving daughters, Laura Ann, Alexis Marie, and Sarah Elizabeth; mother, Rosie Castillo; his loving sister, JoAnn Castillo; and his loving brother, Eddie Castillo. A memorial video is being produced to honor Luis. Links will be sent to all friends and family. Amanda Castillo, and their daughters, Alexis, and Sarah, had no choice but to move to North Texas and live with her father until they get reestablished on their own. PayPal Donations to help Amanda, Laura, Lexis, and Sarah Castillo would be greatly appreciated.
