Lucy Lara

Lucy Lara, a longtime resident of Kerrville, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born October 18, 1923 in Kerrville to Carlotta and Antonio Lara, along with six siblings.\r\n\r\nShe spent many years working at Swan Laundry and the Holiday Inn. She loved gardening, flowers, and taking care of families.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her brother, Jose B. Lara; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews, all of whom have brought great joy to her life.\r\n\r\nWe will honor Lucy Lara with a Rosary at 6 PM, Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Grimes Funeral Chapels. \r\n\r\nMass will be held at 9:30 AM, Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Notre Dame Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery.\r\n\r\nThe family would like to thank hospice care, doctors and nurses for all you did. She was loved by all.
