Lucille Arnold Phillips, 94, of Burnet Texas, passed away on March 3, 2016 in Kerrville, TX. Lucille was born in Italy Texas to Thomas Franklin and Penelope Levonia Arnold on September 14 1921. She married Alvis B Phillips on November 17, 1945.\r\n\r\nLucille and her siblings were orphaned in 1931 and were fortunate to be accepted into the Methodist Children's Home in Waco. She graduated from Waco high and attended Texas Tech University. She worked in health care at St Mary's Hospital in Lubbock Texas until she became a fulltime home maker. Lucille and Alvis Phillips worked and raised their children growing cotton on their farm in Hockley County Texas. Alvis and Lucille moved to Burnet in 1975. \r\n\r\nLucille never turned away from someone who was in need; she was always the first to respond with a helping hand and a loving heart. \r\n\r\nLucille is preceded in death by her husband Alvis B Phillips, and her brothers Frank, Louis, Leroy, Ozy Arnold, and her sister Annie Belle Wallace.\r\n\r\nLucille is survived by her daughter Karen Nelson, and her sons Hal Phillips, Ronald Phillips, and Donald Phillips; her sister Clara Harris, grandchildren Mike and Jeff Nelson, Shelly Nelson Workman, and Holli Phillips Duddles. Lucille is also survived by her great grandchildren, Matthew, Megan, TJ, Harper, and Kate Nelson; Riley, Kaylin, and Kinley Workman; Piper and Kendyl Duddles, numerous friends, nieces, and nephews.\r\n\r\nPallbearers will be Matthew Nelson, Drew Workman, Kurt Kennedy, Randy Arnold Kevin Harris, Greg Arnold.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held Wednesday, 11:00 AM, March 9, 2016 at the Hoover Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Dwayne Edwards of Hoover Valley Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Methodist Children's Home in Waco Texas, (www.mch.org), which continued to have a large and positive influence in her life.\r\n
