Louise Ernestine Neuendorf, affectionately known as "Ernie," passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018 at the age of 88 in Kerrville, Texas. She was born in Kerrville to Lawrence and Myrtle Evans on January 24, 1930. She married Weldon Neuendorf of Chicago, Illinois in 1959.\r\n\r\nErnie went to school in Kerrville, where she graduated from Tivy High School in 1948. She then joined her sister, Pauline, as a clerk at LCRA, the local electric utility company, where she eventually became the Office Manager (and her sister's boss). She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church, she collected porcelain dolls, and she loved to cook. She hosted the entire family each Christmas, preparing all of the food herself. It was not uncommon to go home with a pound cake after dropping in for a visit.\r\n\r\nErnie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Weldon; parents, Lawrence and Myrtle Evans; brother, Scott Evans; sisters, Belva Evans and Pauline Mosty.\r\n \r\nShe is survived by sister-in-law, Marjorie Evans; niece, Marla MacDonald (Mark); nephews, Mark Mosty (Hilary), James Evans, Tom Evans (Julie), Joel Evans (Kelly) and Tim Evans (Monica); cousins, Frankie Campbell, Eugenia Michel, Jim Ed Cotton, Harold Bunch, Wayne Bunch, Harvey Evans, Judy Reader, Kathy Laabs and Karen Smith; plus many beloved great nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nThe family will observe graveside services at 10 AM, Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Garden of Memories, with nephew James "Red" Evans officiating.\r\n\r\nHonorary pallbearers will be Mark Mosty, James Evans, Tom Evans, Joel Evans, Tim Evans and Marla MacDonald.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be given in her name to the Hill Country Youth Ranch.\r\n\r\nThe family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to friend Ramona Reeves, who called her every single day, the Peterson Home Health team, the Peterson Hospice team, and the staff at Brookdale Guadalupe River Plaza.\r\n\r\n
