Louis Anthony Genovesi, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017 at his residence in Kerrville, at the age of 73. He was born May 11, 1943 in Bloomfield, Massachusetts to Louis and Antonia (Sottile) Genovesi.\r\n \r\nLouis retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years. He then became a business partner with K & L Technology. He had a passion for cooking and gardening.\r\n \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Ann Fenton; son, Anthony Thomas Genovesi; and great granddaughter, Shamyia. \r\n \r\nSurvivors include his wife of 54 years, Mary Alice (Soto) Genovesi; children, Nina, Joseph and Louis; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.\r\n \r\nVisitation will be held from 4-6 PM, Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n \r\nRecitation of the Holy Rosary will follow at 6 PM, Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Deacon Jimmy Bill.\r\n \r\nGraveside services will be held 9:30 AM, Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio officiated by Deacon Jimmy Bill.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a Veteran's organization of your choice.
