Loren A. Putney, 86, of Pipe Creek, Texas, passed away after a series of health issues on November 19, 2019 at his home in Pipe Creek, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Middlebury, New York to Cecil Alton Putney and Dora Mae Wright Putney on February 28, 1933. He married Lilly Etta Goldsmith on July 3, 1957 in St. Joseph, Missouri.\r\n\r\nLoren was raised in Elba, New York. He attended and graduated from Northwestern Missouri State with a Bachelor's degree. He retired in 1991 from Eastman Kodak after a 25 year career. He and his wife, Lilly, traveled for a while before settling in Pipe Creek.\r\n\r\nLoren Putney is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Lynn Putney and Dave Putney.\r\n\r\nLoren is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lilly E. Putney; daughters, Barbara Etta Davis and Roxanne Lea Cardin; sons, John Lester Putney and Kenneth Alton Putney; sister, Delores Schriner; brothers, Lee Putney and Dean Putney; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild due in the near future.\r\n\r\nA visitation will be held Thursday, November 21, 2019, from 3:00 until 6:00 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels, Bandera, Texas. \r\n\r\nFuneral Services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, November 22, 2019 at Bandera United Methodist Church with Rev. Kyle Toomire officiating. Burial will follow at Pipe Creek Cemetery, Pipe Creek, Texas.\r\n
