Mrs. Lola Mae Waters, age 96 of Kerrville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 9, 2014, in a Houston hospital surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Waters, a 32-year resident of Pecos and then a 32-year resident of Kerrville, was born May 24, 1918, in Taft, Texas. She was preceded in death by her loving husband William B. Waters. They were married in 1936 in San Patricio County, Texas. From 1948 Bill and Lola pioneered irrigated farming in the West Texas community of Pecos. They farmed there until 1983 when they retired to Kerrville where they were active members of the First Baptist Church. \r\n\r\nSurvivors, three sons, William B. Waters, Jr., and wife Mary Ann of Houston, Louis A. Waters and wife Wanda of Utopia and Houston, Dan E. Waters and wife Nahlee of Houston. Eight grandchildren, Lou Waters and wife Gerry, Laurel Waters and husband Robert Sullivan, Kristy Outhier and husband Mike, Danny Waters, Berry Waters, Greg Schnakenberg and wife Holly, Jason Henson and wife Amy, and Kelly Henson and wife Merrilee. She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren. \r\n\r\nFuneral services will be at 4:00 P.M., Sunday, October 12, 2014, in the First Baptist Church of Kerrville with Pastor George Harris officiating.
