Lola Barton

Lola Moffett Barton, 92, of Medina, TX., went to be with the Lord on April 16, 2016. Lola was born in Medina on November 30, 1923. She was the daughter of Joseph Marion Moffett and Erma Davis Moffett.\r\n \r\nShe attended school in Medina and graduated in 1941. She married Willard Gerber Barton in Baltimore, Maryland on August 6, 1943. Lola was a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She loved gardening, especially cultivating flowers and could grow anything. "Outside" was where she loved to be. Lola loved her grandchildren and loved seeing them as often as possible. \r\n\r\nShe is preceded in death by her husband, Willard Barton; five sisters and two brothers.\r\n\r\nLola is survived by her children, Barbara Gable and husband, Larry, Linda Williams and husband, Arlen, Ronald Barton and wife, Penny and Charles (Billy) Barton; grandchildren, 8; great grandchildren, 9, all of Medina.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera with Pastor Bill Stegemueller and Brother Bill Moseley officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Rest Cemetery.\r\n\r\nPallbearers will be, grandsons, Steve Reimer, Scott Williams, Jonathan Barton, Charles Barton; son in law, Larry Gable and nephew, Steve Sells.\r\n\r\nThe family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Pastor Bill Stegemueller and Brother Bill Moseley. The family is also grateful to Tri County Home Healthcare for the months of loving care Lola received.\r\n\r\n
