Lois Knibbe

Lois Mildred Fritz Knibbe, 94, passed away on April 30, 2019 at her home in Bandera. She was born in Ottawa, Kansas on November 21, 1924. She married C. D. "Tag" Knibbe on December 5, 1942 in Norman, Oklahoma.\r\n\r\nLois graduated from high school in Ottawa. Then she became a career homemaker most of her married life, having arrived in Bandera in 1945. In later years she worked as a typist for the Bandera Bulletin. Lois was a member of Bandera Church of Christ and an active parent in school functions.\r\n\r\nLois is preceded in death by her husband, C.D. "Tag" Knibbe. \r\n\r\nShe is survived by two children--a son, Terry, and his wife Carol of Hye and a daughter, Elaine, of Bandera; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.\r\n\r\nA memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 6, 2019 at Grimes Funeral Chapels with Martin Smith of Bandera Church of Christ, officiating.\r\n\r\nPrivate interment of the cremains is planned at a later date.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Alamo Hospice, Bandera Church of Christ, or charity of your choice. \r\n
