Lois Elaine Jones, of Kerrville, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018, with family by her side. She was born in San Angelo, Texas to Frank and Nellie Lossing on October 21, 1930. She married O.L. Jones, Jr. on April 30, 1960, in San Angelo.\r\n\r\nLois attended Angelo State for a year before becoming manager, then part owner of Rogers Company Record Store. Lois was well known in the record business during the 50's. O.L. and Lois moved to San Benito in 1966. Lois was the attendance clerk and then principal's secretary at San Benito High School for many years before she went to work at the San Benito Bank and Trust. She was active in the Women's Guild at All Saints Episcopal Church.\r\n\r\nO.L. and Lois moved to Canyon Lake in 1990 where they were active at St. Francis by the Lake Episcopal Church. Lois was a member of the Daughters of the King.\r\n\r\nAfter 45 years of marriage, O.L. passed away and Lois moved to Kerrville in 2007. She was a member of Daughters of the King at St. Peter's and volunteered at the Cottage Shop. \r\n\r\nLois was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Nellie; her siblings, Bud Lossing, Marjorie Mellas and Shirley McKay; and husband, O.L.\r\n\r\nLois is survived by children, David and Leslie Jones of Lewisville, Lee and Martha Jones of McAllen and Elizabeth and David Oehler of Kerrville; and grandchildren, Amy, Alan, Katharine, Emma, Hayden, Katelyn and Colby.\r\n\r\nA memorial service will be held at 3 PM, Monday, December 17, 2018 at Hilltop Village Nursing Facility with Fr. Mike Wheeler of St. Peter's Episcopal Church officiating. Funeral service and interment will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at St. Francis by the Lake Episcopal Church at Canyon Lake with Fr. David Chalk and Fr. Jerry Sneary officiating.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the animal shelter of your choice, The Dietert Center Meals on Wheels in Kerrville, St. Francis by the Lake at Canyon Lake or the Honduran Mission efforts of St. Francis by the Lake.\r\n\r\nThe family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at Hilltop Village for all their loving care, Alamo Hospice, Peterson Home Health, Dr. Michael Grocki and Dr. Abram Rabinowitz.\r\n\r\n
