Lois Erfurt

Lois Ann Erfurt passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019 in a San Antonio hospital after a brief and serious illness. She was 81 years old and a resident of Boerne, Texas.\r\n\r\nLois Ann was born December 25, 1937 in San Antonio, Texas to Jeneve Thompson Maxfeldt and Arthur Maxfeldt. She was raised in San Antonio. Lois was united in marriage to Leroy Erfurt on August 20, 1960 in San Antonio. Lois was a home maker and took pride in her home and family. Her interests were cooking and gardening.\r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Vernon Maxfeldt; and her husband of 58 years Leroy Erfurt.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include her daughter Linda Erfurt of Boerne, Texas; her son David Erfurt and wife Leslie of Boerne,Texas; her sisters Betty Sumrow and Shirley Beister; her brothers Roy Maxfeldt and Norman Maxfeldt; her grandchildren William Z. Erfurt and Monica Garcia, Wyatt Erfurt, Emma Grace Erfurt and Claire Erfurt; also numerous nieces and nephews and many extended family members and treasured friends.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be held Sunday, August 16th from 2-3:00 PM with a service at 3:00 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels with Martin Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Tarpley Cemetery.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of one's choice would be appreciated in honor of Lois.
