Linda Ross

Linda Jane Ross, 72, of Tarpley, TX passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 25, 2016 in San Antonio, TX. She was born in Elkin, NC to Russell and Nadine Pardue on May 20, 1943. She married Lawrence Earl Ross, Sr. on October 5, 1963 in San Antonio, TX. \r\n \r\nLinda worked in the banking industry for over 40 years, even working the night shift for a time in Houston when her children were young to avoid putting them in daycare. She was loved by many and was the consummate mother and homemaker. She dedicated her life to her husband and children. She always treated close friends like one of the family and made them feel welcome no matter how busy she was with her own family, her job and life in general.\r\n \r\nLinda is preceded in death by her father, Russell Pardue and her sister Jodine Pardue. \r\n \r\nLinda is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Larry Ross of Tarpley, TX, son Earl Ross of Estes Park, Colorado, daughter Melissa and husband John Henderson of El Paso, TX, daughter Donna and husband David McCutcheon of Schertz, TX, son David and wife Donna Ross of San Antonio, TX; sister Penelope and husband Sam Simmons of Thurmond, NC; mother Nadine Pardue of Elkin, NC; grandchildren and great-grandchildren Austin, Fiona, Sydney, Olivia, Ashleigh, Zachary, Braylon and Dawan. \r\n \r\nGraveside services for Linda will be held 10 AM, Friday, January 29, 2016 at Tarpley Cemetery officiated by Reverand Dick Sisk. \r\n \r\n
