Linda Herrera Johnston, age 83 of San Antonio, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 at her residence. She was born September 15, 1932 in Kerrville, TX to Florencio "Chencho" Herrera and Albertina (Collazo) Herrera.\r\n \r\nLinda loved her career in Foreign Services, working and experiencing cultures, customs and people of different nations. It was truly a career unlike any other.\r\n \r\nShe was a member of Polly's Chapel and took great pride in her family history being a descendant of Jose Policarpio Rodriguez of Bandera County, Texas.\r\n \r\nShe is survived by her brother in law, Hector Rosales of Center Point; nieces and nephews, Sonia and Jesse Govea of Center Point, Omar and Linsey Rosales of Center Point, Josue and Angel Rosales of Kerrville, Marisol Chachi Rosales of Center Point, Rene, Ernest and Adelaide Ginger Herrera of Austin; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.\r\n \r\nVisitation will be held 6-8 PM, Friday, September 9, 2016 at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville.\r\n \r\nServices will be held 10 AM, Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Polly's Chapel in Bandera, officiated by Rev. Mike Herrington. Interment will follow at Polly Cemetery.\r\n \r\n
