He was born in San Antonio, TX to Margorie and Henry Neal Matthews on April 20, 1947.He Married Deborah Schoolcraft on March 28, 1970 in San Antonio, TX.\r\n\r\nHe was a member of the Army Lodge No. 1103 A.F. & A.M. \r\n\r\nHe is preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Lynn Matthews who passed away in 2004.\r\n\r\nLewis Neal is survived by his wife of 47 years Deborah Matthews of San Antonio; daughters, Christine Jerdon and husband (Larry) of San Antonio; Laura Enterline and husband (Stacey) of Mansfield, TX; sister, Sherry Matthews Fisher of Kerrville, TX; grandchildren, Rebecca's children, Justin, Amber and Kelley, Christine's children, Paul, Joseph, Kayla, Matthew, Rebecca, Lilyanne, Larry III (Woodrow), Laura's children, Trey, Rhett, Lauren and Lauri; great grandchildren, Trevor, Owen and Neal and 2 more \r\ngreat grandsons on the way. \r\n\r\nA Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, March 16, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chaples of Bandera.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera with Rev. Kervin Lewis, officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Rest Cemetery. Military honors and Masonic rites under the auspices of Bandera Lodge No. 1123 A.F. & A. M.\r\n\r\nPallbearers will be Trey Fisher, Shawn Fisher, Felix Fisher, Justin Rader, Paul Woody and Dr. Henry Hubble.
