Letitia Alexander

June 4, 1935 — September 10, 2015

Letitia "Tish" Alexander, 80, of Kerrville entered God's Kingdom on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at her home with her loving husband, R.B. "Bud" Alexander, by her side.\r\n\r\nShe was born on June 4, 1935 in Pampa, Texas to Vivia and Donnis Holeman. She graduated as a Pampa High School Harvester and then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where she met and married Bud. After living in numerous small Texas towns, they settled in Spring, Texas with their four children. She was a devoted wife and mother, always putting her family first. Taking care of children was her gift and in addition to being the best mom, she blessed other children as a classroom aide for many years at Meyer Elementary in Spring ISD. She especially enjoyed working with special needs students. \r\n\r\nTish and Bud traveled often and spent many summers with their family camping throughout the United States, primarily in Colorado. She traveled with Bud to many football game sites, but mostly she loved to travel with and to see her kids and grandkids. She also loved to read and play games. She was the kindest, sweetest lady, but watch out at the domino table. \r\n\r\nHer family was her passion and you could clearly see that in her devotion to her husband, 4 children and 7 grandchildren. If they were performing or participating in something, she was often there - she was their biggest fan. One of her greatest joys was visiting her children and grandchildren, walking in with a bag full of goodies that she had collected for the family. She was incredibly thoughtful and generous and had a way of giving the most personal, thought out gifts. \r\n\r\nTish was preceded in death by her mother, Vivia Holeman, her brother Bobby Holeman, and her oldest son, David Alexander. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bud Alexander; her son Bob Alexander and daughter-in-law Susie and their children Matt and Megan; daughter Laura Randall and son-in-law Mark and their children Lane, Brett, McKenna and niece Kristen; and daughter Lisa Lindholm and son-in-law Larry and their children Garrett and Bailey. \r\n \r\nServices will be held Monday, September 14, 2015, 1:30 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. \r\n\r\n
