Laura Louise Hall-McCormick Overmyer, resident of Kerrville for 72 years, passed away on March 18, 2017. She was born in Tyler, TX to Thomas Lee Hall and Ruby Christian-Hall on May 28, 1922. She married Kenneth McCormick on May 2, 1943 in Enid, OK. Six years after Ken's death, Laura married Bob Overmyer on November 10, 1998 in Kerrville, TX.\r\n She graduated from high school and business school in Enid, OK and went on to work as a secretary at various business and organizations including the USDA, Kerrville State Hospital, Starkey Elementary School, First Methodist Church Kerrville and Hilltop Village. She was also co-owner of Secretaries, Etc. She was involved in the Women's Division of the Chamber of Commerce and United Methodist Women (UMW).\r\n Laura is preceded in death by her parents, husbands and her younger brother Robert (Bobby) Christian Edwards. She is survived by her children Linda McEachern (spouse: Don McEachern), Sandra Jenschke (spouse: Travis Jenschke) and Gary McCormick (spouse: Terry McCormick), 7 grandchildren (Casey Jansen, Kelly McEachern, Bridget Klein, Tiffany Klaerner, Barrett Jenschke, Josh McCormick, Jason McCormick), 15 great-grandchildren, 12 nieces and nephews and 3 God-children (Sherry Harvey, Sylvia Weed and Scott Shaw).\r\n Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 21st at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church Kerrville with Rev. Donna MaGee officiating. There will be a private burial for family. \r\n In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the charity of your choice.\r\n The family of Laura wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Brookdale Guadalupe River Plaza, Peterson Region Medical Center, Hilltop Village and Alamo Hospice.
