LaMoin Smith Bennett, a 22-year Kerrville resident, passed away peacefully of natural causes on March 26, 2016. She was 92 years old.\r\n\r\nLaMoin was preceded in death by her parents, Hicks Avery Smith Sr., and Lenna Catherine Smith, and her brother, Hicks Avery Smith, Jr., all of Ada, OK.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her children, Allen Bennett, MD of Kerrville, James B. Bennett, Jr. of Peralta, NM and Janet E. Cravey of Burnet, TX; her grandchildren, Jamie J. Molisee of Albuquerque, NM, Hannah E. Rubio of Tacoma, WA and Samuel A. Cravey of Austin, TX, and by her nieces Nancy Moore of Frisco, TX and Barbara Howell of Gresham, WA.\r\n\r\nLaMoin was a caring and responsible homemaker and parent. She also worked as a shoe retailer and a primary grade school teacher to help with family finances. She loved life and was fond of art, home design and her pet dogs.\r\n\r\nThere will be a brief interment ceremony on the South side of Garden of Memories Cemetery on Highway 16 at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 29th.
