Kendrick Norris Adams, 74, of Hunt, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018 in Hunt, TX. He was born in San Diego, CA to Cleatice Glen Adams and Ruth Lynn Causey Adams on September 3, 1943. He married Debbie Layne Lieck on June 6, 1981 in San Antonio, TX.\r\n \r\nHe went to school in Ft. Worth, TX. He graduated from Arlington Heights High School. He was the owner of Hill Country Pools and Spas / Kerrville Pool Builders, Inc. for 34 years. He was a veteran. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was stationed at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington D.C. during the time of the Vietnam War. He was an official in the ROTC while in High School. He achieved Eagle Scout and continued with the Explorer Scouts and canoeing across Canada.\r\n \r\nKen was preceded in death by his mother Lynn C. Adams and his father Cleatice G. Adams.\r\n \r\nKen loved his family immensely. He is survived by his beloved wife: Debbie L. Adams, his sons: Kendrick Norris Adams II (Rick), Jonathan R. Adams (Jon), Russell S. Adams, and Gregory L. Adams and his fiancée Angela M. McClung - he was looking forward to their marriage, his daughter: Cheryl D. Adams Higdon and her husband Michael J. Higdon, his brother: Joseph J. Adams and his wife Pamela S. Adams, and his sister: Margie Adams Fulmer and her husband James Fulmer, his grandchildren: Jasen Adam Lee of Sacramento, CA, Noah Kendrick Adams - who Ken loved vacationing and traveling with, and Ophelia Grace Higdon - the sweet girl who wrapped him around her little finger, "adopted" daughter: Jessica Leal - Noah's mother, special friends: Pete Davis, Jan Gambrell, and Kenny Lambert, nieces and nephews: Tonya A. Flores and her husband Toto, Wade Adams and his wife Grisel, Sarah Peterson and her husband Luke, and Jamie Worth, great-nephews: Mickenzee Brown and Cru Peterson.\r\n \r\nKen tried to retire and broke out in a rash. Prognosis from the doctor was "Go back to work!" The rash cleared up. Ken loved to work. He couldn't understand why others didn't love it as much as he did. \r\n \r\nHe enjoyed photography and making movies, hunting, fishing, scuba diving, skiing, learning new things, traveling to different countries, and seeing the U.S.A., especially Alaska. He loved the Texas Gulf Coast of Port Aransas and Rockport, and the Texas Hill Country.\r\n \r\nKen found a peaceful place in Segovia - "his sanctuary" - On Bended Knee Ranch and raising goats. His brother Joe and the guys spent many weekends enjoying the ranch and eating "Uncle" Pete's Dutch Oven Biscuits.\r\n \r\nKen accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in December of 1956 at the age of 13. He was baptized in 1986 by Dr. Bill Blackburn at Trinity Baptist Church. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ, Trinity, and his church family.\r\n \r\nThe viewing will be at Grimes Funeral Chapels on Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 5 to 7 pm. Memorial services will be held at Trinity Baptist Church on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 11 am.\r\n \r\nMemorials may be given to Trinity Baptist Church Mission Fund or the American Lung Association.\r\n
