Kathy Sue Gilchriest Kowaleski Trone danced her way into Heaven on July 12, 2018. She was a radiant 64 years old. \r\n\r\nKathy was born October 13, 1953, on her mother's birthday. She was the second of four girls born to Edna Faye Webb and Marvin (Buddy) Gilchriest. Kathy was ten years old when she and her sisters came to live at Medina Children's Home. After graduating high school in 1972, she attended Abilene Christian University where she studied education. She worked in the executive offices of Telecheck in Houston where she quickly rose to the lead her department. \r\n\r\n In 1992, Kathy suffered a traumatic brain injury as the result of autoimmune encephalitis. She lived many years in Coronado Nursing Center in Abilene, Texas, before moving to Hilltop Village in Kerrville in 2010 to be closer to family. Kathy found joy everywhere. She loved Jesus, her family, all types of music and chips and salsa! She was an avid Bingo player and often took home a cartful of prizes.\r\n\r\nKathy was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, Graham and Grace Webb of McGregor, Texas, and Earl and Agnes Ivy Gilchriest of Silsbee, Texas. She is survived by her beloved children, Hillary Carper and Kevin Kowaleski, four grandchildren, Jackson, Maddox, Lane and Ryan, three sisters and their husbands, Dusti and Mike Scovel from Clifton, TX, Judy and Jim Eoff of Bandera, TX and Cindy and Ritchie Rud, of Katy, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins - all who will miss her dearly.\r\n\r\nKathy had an incredible loving and caring spirit.
