Karen Maddox, 81, of Kerrville, passed away on February 18, 2019 in Kerrville, TX. She was born in Tucumcari, NM to Dick and Berta Griggs on October 7, 1937. She married her sweetheart Scotty Maddox on October 18, 1956 in Tucumcari, NM.\r\n\r\nKaren was active at Trinity Baptist Church and regularly entertained at local assisted living homes, playing piano for the residents. Karen was a teacher, educational diagnostician, author, and an artist all her life, painting on canvas until switching to rug-hooking. She taught rug-hooking for many years in Kerrville and at various conferences and workshops around the country.\r\n\r\nA public memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville, TX.
