Julian C. Bray, 57, of Harper, TX passed away on July 2nd, 2020 in his home. He was born in Miami, OK on November 23rd, 1962 and was adopted by Edgar and JoAnn Bray at age 7. He married Amy Bray on July 11th, 1998 at the Ponderosa Ranch in Lake Tahoe, NV. \r\n\r\nHe grew up in Konawa, OK where he ran track and worked at the local grocery store. He joined the Army in 1984, serving during a time of peace. He loved hunting, fishing, working with his horses and his family. \r\n\r\nJulian is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Verna Deathridge, maternal grandfather John Deathridge, paternal Granny Bray and his mother JoAnn Lucas.\r\n\r\nJulian is survived by his wife Amy Bray, daughter Nina Bray and four children who adopted him as their father, daughters Rhonda Blankenship, Jarilyn Blankenship and Miyjalyn Cauton and son Reginald "Gary" J. Elaban-Bray all children from his first marriage who he loved like his own. He is also, survived by grandchildren Jacob Singh and Amelie Singh; and his dad, Edgar Bray.\r\n\r\nJulian was a man who taught his children to live with, for and off the land. He taught them to be strong against impossible odds. He taught them to ride horses and how to live. He was the light in the darkness. He was a hardworking, kind, funny and selfless man. Everyone who met him loved him. He will be deeply missed.\r\n\r\nJulian did not wish to have funeral services.\r\n\r\nThe family of Julian wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Mark DeLeon and Hill Country Memorial Hospice for helping with Julian's care. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Katheryn Walston for helping us at the end. We could not have made it through without you.\r\n
