On Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, at the age of 94, Julia Padilla Fabro went peacefully to be with the Lord our savior. \r\n\r\nJulia was not a stranger to anyone and touched the hearts of many. She was very active in her community as a volunteer at the Salvation Army, Dietert Claim and many other charitable organizations. She will be remembered for her witty attitude and positive outlook on life.\r\nJulia is survived by seven of her nine children and five siblings, along with several generations of grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins.\r\n\r\nSurviving children and their spouses are Manuel Espinoza Jr. and Gloria Espinoza of Tyler, Texas; Margaret and Donato Guerra of Lawton, Oklahoma; Ysmael and Consuelo Espinoza of Ingram, Texas; Pete and Esther Gonzales of Kerrville, Texas; Pauline and Elias Patino of Kerrville, Texas; Augustine Jr. and Rita Fabro of Floresville, Texas; and Julie Fabro of Kerrville, Texas. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Angelica Nava of Toledo, Ohio; Mateo Nunez of Houston, Texas; Jesse Huerta of Toledo, Ohio; and Guadalupe Lozano and Fidel Padilla of Laredo, Texas.\r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Augustine Fabro; children, Joe Espinoza and Juan Fabro; and sibling, Manuela Sanchez.\r\n\r\nThe family would like to give special thanks to the River Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center, as well as Peterson hospital staff for their loving care of Julia Fabro and the support of her family.\r\n\r\nRosary will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by Deacon Jimmy Bill.\r\n\r\nMass will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, at Notre Dame Catholic Church, with Father David Wagner as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.\r\n\r\nPallbearers will be Ruben Flores, Johnny Fabro, Eric Espinoza, Joe Mark Espinoza, James Lerma and Bobby Fabro.\r\n\r\nHonorary pallbearers will be Brandon Jackson, Brian Gonzales, Johnny Espinoza, Mario Lerma, Ysmael Espinoza Jr. and Fabian Fabro.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Salvation Army.\r\n\r\n
