Ruby Juanell Ueckert, 94, of Kerrville, passed away on May 9, 2019. She was born in Sylvester, Texas to Dawson McCain and Birdie Jeffery on January 5, 1925.\r\n\r\nShe married Leo Ueckert May 5, 1948 in Abilene, Texas.\r\n\r\nJuanell graduated from high school in Noodle, Texas. She was a homemaker and an active member of the Third and Dwight Church of Christ in Monahans, Texas before moving to the Hill Country in 2014. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Kerrville Church of Christ.\r\n\r\nJuanell was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; her parents; her sister, Rose Mitchell and husband Charles; her sister, Bonnie Rhymes and husband Richard; son-in-law, Johnny Adams; and beloved grandson, Todd Adams. \r\n\r\nShe is survived by her children, Ann Adams, Barbara Penland and husband James, Larry Ueckert and wife Linda; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.\r\n\r\nGraveside services will be Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.\r\n\r\nThe family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to Brenda Whitaker and staff at 220 Harper and to Andrea Honeycutt and the tender, loving team at The Villagio Senior Living Center.
