Juan Cardenaz

Juan Jose Cardenaz, 80, of Bandera, passed away on November 1, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Hondo, Texas to Jose and Juanita Cardenaz on March 7, 1935.\r\n\r\nHe was a construction worker for many years and worked for the City of Bandera for 10 years before retiring in 1987.\r\n\r\nJuan is preceded in death by his first wife, Maria Garcia Cardenaz; second wife, Guadalupe Contreas Cardenaz, girlfriend, Annie Delgadilla.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his daughters, Doris Cardenaz Ybarra of New Braunfels, Teresa Cardenaz Garcia of Comfort, Nelda Cardenaz Rangel of Bandera and Norma Lee Cardenaz of San Antonio; sons, Jimmy Cardenaz of Cache, OK., Jerry Cardenaz of Indiahoma, OK., Richard Cardenaz of Pleasonton, TX., Larry Cardenaz of Cache, OK., Arnulfo Cardenaz of Hondo and Geronimo Cardenaz of Bandera; sisters, Gracie Romero of Blanco, TX. and Ophelia Lopez of Yancey, TX.; brothers, Jesse Cardenaz of Bandera and Gustavo Cardenaz of Hondo, TX.; grandchildren (29); great grandchildren (19).\r\n\r\nRosary will be 7:00 PM, Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Grimes Funeral Chapel of Bandera.\r\n\r\nMass will be held 9:00 AM, Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with the Father John Nolan, officiating. Burial will follow at New Catholic Cemetery.\r\n\r\nPallbearers will be Alan Cardenaz, Travis Cardenaz, Kristopher Cardenaz, Larry Cardenaz, Arnulfo Cardenaz and Geronimo Cardenaz.
