Joyce Quarles

Joyce Elaine Quarles, age 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 9th, 2019 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX. Joyce was born on July 6th, 1934 in Tynan, TX. She married Lloyd Eugene Quarles Sr. on June 13, 1953 in San Antonio, Texas.\r\n\r\nA 1951 graduate of Brackenridge High School, she worked for the Bandera County Tax and Appraisal office for many years. Joyce enjoyed golfing, traveling with family, as well as fishing at the coast and Medina Lake. Joyce was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.\r\n\r\nJoyce was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Adela Mueller and nephew Jeff Wolff.\r\n\r\nJoyce is survived by her husband, Lloyd Eugene Quarles, her sons Lloyd Quarles, Jr. and wife Yvonne, Gary Quarles and wife, Darcy, Kevin Quarles and wife Shelly, daughter Kim Herrera and husband Abel, sisters Sharon Bulian and husband Bob, Gwen Morris and husband Dave, as well as nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. \r\n\r\nA Memorial Service will be held at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera, TX on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 10:30 AM.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bandera, TX or to The American Heart Association.\r\n\r\n\r\n
