Jordan Johnston

Jordan Montgomery Johnston, 64, of Pipe Creek, TX passed away on January 23, 2023, in Pipe Creek. He was born at Nix Hospital in San Antonio, TX to Patricia Vawter Johnston and Gary G. C. Johnston on January 7, 1959. He married Sandra Witherspoon on October 20, 2007, in San Antonio. Jordan went to school in Bandera. After graduating Bandera High School, joined the US Navy in July 1979. He completed his Navy service with an honorable discharge in July 1986 at the rank of E6. He was then immediately employed by Arizona Public Service, worked at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, where he attained a Nuclear Plant Reactor Operator License Certification by October 19, 1993. He then moved on with that same company to attain a Nuclear Plant Senior Reactor Operator License Certification by November 19, 1995. He ended his career with Arizona Public Service in September of 2000. Jordan entered the private business sector and became a managing partner and executive management team member of Eastern Technologies Inc. and Global Resources International Inc., a Georgia based corporation. He retired in 2016. Jordan is preceded in death by his father Gary G. C. Johnston. Jordan is survived by his mother Patricia Vawter Johnston Renton, wife Sandra Witherspoon Johnston, daughters Frances Johnston Byrd and husband Nathan Byrd, Kaitlin Johnston, Krista Johnston, sister Daria Johnston Williams and husband Jason Williams, brother Marcus Johnston and wife Jennifer Scarlett Johnston, grandchildren Brooklyn, Braylen, Brylee Everett, Braxton Byrd, Patrick and Jordan Bryant. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m at Grimes Bandera Funeral Chapel, 1214 Mulberry St, Bandera, Texas 78003 on Saturday, February 4, 2023, followed with a Memorial service at 11:00 a.m.
