Born on June 2, 1958 in Perryton, TX, Jonathan lived a full and rich, if not short, life. He left us to be with the Lord on October 31, 2018. He attended and graduated from Center Point School and remained in Center Point his entire life. During high school and up until the early 80's he worked with his father in the home-building trade. Following this, he worked with a dear friend, installing A/C systems. \r\n\r\nIn 1987, he met the love of his life, and they married in 1988. They lived and loved together and were blessed with two wonderful children.\r\n\r\nHe finally answered the call to serve God in 1991, and attended Southwest Baptist Seminary. In 1994, he was asked to be the interim pastor of the Center Point Christian Church. He remained pastor of this same church until his death.\r\n\r\nJonathan was a true man of God. He loved the Lord and was a Scholar and Teacher of Biblical History.\r\n\r\nJonathan will be remembered for his incredible knowledge of Trival Information. He always had a story or joke to share. He never met a stranger. And everyone always said he was full of "Witt".\r\n\r\nHe spent countless hours doing what he loved the best, tending to the needs of his parishioners and the need to their extended friends and family members.\r\n\r\nJonathan was preceded in death by his brother Russell and his parents Frances and Russell Barfield Park. \r\n\r\nHe leaves behind his beloved wife Sabyn, and the children he adored, Rachel, William and Kaylee. He also leaves an Uncle, Aunts, treasured extended family, as well as cherished friends. \r\n\r\nMemorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 10th at the Center Point Christian Church. Scott Turner will be officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Center Point Cemetery. \r\n
