Jon Jones

Jon R. Jones, loving husband, beloved father and "pop pop" died Friday, October 5, 2018 at his residence. He was 63 and had been a resident of Lakehills since 1997.\r\n\r\nJon was born December 20, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas to Mattie Jean Peterson Jones and Robert C. Jones. He grew up in San Antonio and was a 1971 graduate of Holmes High School. It was there that he met his true love, Vicki Lea Hildenburg. On February 2, 1974 Jon and Vicki were united in marriage in San Antonio, Texas. Jon did what he could to further his education in the field of heating and air conditioning. He retired from USAA. \r\n\r\nJon was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Vicki of Lakehills, Texas; his mother Mattie Jean Jones of San Antonio, Texas; sons, Joshua Jones, Aaron Jones and Dustin Jones all of San Antonio, Texas; adopted nephew, Chris Biasiolli and wife Nancy and their son, Liam; sister, Sharon Rodriguez of San Antonio, Texas; nephew, Jody Rodriguez and wife Erica; Brother, Jim Jones and wife Brenda of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren Alanna Jones of Salado, Texas and Tristen Parker of New Braunfels, Texas; brothers in law, Jerry Hildenburg and wife Shannon of Pflugerville, Texas and Steve Hildenburg and wife Sallie of Surfside Beach, Texas along with other extended family members and treasured friends and former colleagues.\r\n\r\nA Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera, Texas.\r\n\r\nThe family appreciates the beauty and sentiment expressed by flowers and will accept floral tributes.
