Jon Hennigan, 58, of Kerrville passed away on June 7th. He was the son of Jim and Jeanette Hennigan (both deceased) of College Station, Texas. He was married to his wife, Karen Hennigan, for 26 years.\r\n\r\nAfter growing up in College Station, Jon moved to Austin. He graduated from Texas State University in 1995. He was a drafting/computer teacher for 19 years, having taught at Tivy and Aransas Pass High Schools. Jon was in the Marine Reserves, National Guard, and Army Reserves where he retired after 20 years of service. Jon was a veteran of Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom in Iraq.\r\n\r\nAn avid martial artist most of his life, Jon opened the Kerrville Tukong Martial Arts School. His other hobbies included riding his motorcycle and camping with family and friends.\r\n\r\nJon is survived by his spouse, Karen Hennigan, along with his children Mitchell and Lauren Hennigan. He is also survived by a sister, Joni Lora of Seattle.\r\n\r\nThe memorial service will be held at Grimes Funeral Chapel on Monday, June 11th at 1:00 pm.
