Johnny Lee Pavelka, Jr. passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019 in a San Antonio hospital after a series of serious health issues. He was 69 years old.\r\n\r\nJohn was born November 24, 1949 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Jo Patton Pavelka and Johnny Lee Pavelka, Sr. He graduated from highschool in Libya, Tripoli. John was a fisherman, a hunter and he also loved to collect things. He was united in marriage with Debra Jean Shaw on April 17, 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada. John and Debra were long time residents of Bandera County and prior residents of Marble Falls, Texas. He was a long time member of Grace Lutheran Church of Bandera.\r\n\r\nJohn was preceded in death by his parents; his son Johnny Lee Pavelka, III in infancy and his wife of 22 years, Debra J. (Shaw) Pavelka. Survivors include his daughters Kassiopia and Brooke; his son Collin; his sister Sandra (Ray) Johnston; his brothers Donald and Ronald Pavelka; his sister in law Christine (Shaw) Mastromatteo; his brother in law Phillip Shaw and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members\r\nand treasured friends.\r\n\r\nA memorial service will be held at Grimes Funeral Chapels, Bandera, Texas on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Brady Eggleston officiating.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers memorial gifts to CCPAL or Bandera County Helping Hands would be appreciated.
