Johnnie Kay (Barnett) Peril, age 74, of Harper, TX passed away peacefully on November 29, 2018 at Windcrest Nursing Home in Fredericksburg, TX. She was born on March 22, 1944 in Johnson City, TX to Chester Arthur and Kathleen (Kroll) Barnett. She was married to James E. Peril on December 28, 1963. She attended school and graduated from Marble Falls, TX.\r\n\r\nJohnnie Kay is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, James E. Peril, her parents, Chester and Kathleen Barnett, and numerous other family members.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her son James Arthur (Jim) Peril and wife, Dori, of Granite Shoals, TX, daughter, Mary Peril of Arkansas and sister, Nona Fox and husband Mark Fox, of Marble Falls, TX. Grandchildren are Payton and Presley Peril, and Zach, Corey and Tyler Griffin. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Todd & Troy Fox, Tempe Winters, Malcolm, Kaiser and Kayla Young.\r\n\r\nJohnnie Kay truly enjoyed life. She loved hauling kids around to the rodeos.\r\nShe was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.\r\n\r\nThe family of Johnnie Kay would like to extend our sincere thanks to the nurses and staff at Windcrest Nursing Home in Fredericksburg, TX who provided such excellent care for her.\r\n\r\nGraveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Harper Cemetery in Harper, TX.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be made to Harper Presbyterian Church at P.O.
