Johnnie Lou Newcomer\r\n\r\nJohnnie Lou Newcomer, 77, of Pipe Creek, passed away on February 27, 2019 in Fredericksburg. She was born in San Antonio, Texas to Vera and John Murrin on June 27, 1941. She Married Charles Milton Newcomer on May 30, 1958 in San Antonio, Texas.\r\n\r\nJohnnie was a very active member of her church, Hill Country Chapel. She worked tirelessly as a counselor at the Hill Country Crisis Center where she made a significant difference in many lives.\r\n\r\nJohnnie is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles M. Newcomer; daughters, Karen Newcomer and Cindy Newcomer; sons, Bill Newcomer and Charles E. Newcomer and wife Esther; sister, Joann Rieck; grandchildren, B.J. Newcomer, Chris Newcomer, Mitchell Newcomer and Darcy Newcomer; great grandchildren, Grant Newcomer and Jessa Newcomer.\r\n\r\nA Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera with the Pastor Skip Marks officiating. \r\n\r\nMemorials may be given in Johnnie's name to Helping Hands of Bandera at 1116 12th St, Bandera, TX 78003 or the Hill Country Chapel in Pipe Creek at 886 Mountain View Ln, Pipe Creek, TX 78063.
