John Swope

John E. Swope, age 90, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 in a Kerrville care center. He was born August 28, 1926 in Greenville, Mississippi to John Spencer Swope and Floy Myrtle (Edwards) Swope.\r\n \r\nJohn served in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of World War II. \r\n \r\nHe was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie (Santee) Swope; and three sons, John S. Swope, David E. Swope and Charles Terry Swope.\r\n \r\nSurvivors include daughters, Marsha Pavey of Castroville, Beverly Moss and husband, Ron of Petrolia and Mary Jean Lolatte and husband, James of San Antonio; step children, Trey Kendrick, Dawn Kendrick, Candy Kendrick and Billy Paul Kendrick; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.\r\n \r\nServices will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kerrville. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM, Monday, August 7, 2017 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. \r\n
