John Penz

Chief Master Sgt. John R. Penz, age 84 of Kerrville, TX passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at his residence. He was born on October 21, 1931 in New Rochelle, NY to John Jacob & Helen Penz. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years and was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion in Kerrville. He was of the Catholic faith.\r\n \r\nHe married Eileen Daraban on May 7, 1955 in Michigan. She survives along with one daughter, Janice Haney (Wes); Son, John Richard Penz, Jr. (Imee); one sister, Nancy Twomey (Paul); five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. \r\n \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents and one great granddaughter.\r\n \r\nThe family will receive friends on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n \r\nFuneral services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels with Bro. Thomas Jeffers officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories.\r\n \r\nThose who desire may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.\r\n
