John Olsson

John Arnold Oluf Olsson, age 93 of Kerrville, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in a San Antonio hospital. He was born December 27, 1921 in Queens, NY to Oluf and Selma (Pedersen) Olsson. On November 25, 1944, he married Eleanor Wroldsen in San Diego, CA.\r\n \r\nHe was a retired Colonel with the Marines and served in World War II, Guadalcanal and the Korean War. He also retired from the Hartford Insurance Company. \r\n \r\nMr. Olsson was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, the German Club of Kerrville and was very active with the American Cancer Society.\r\n \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, Oluf and Selma Olsson and his wife, Eleanor Olsson. \r\n \r\nHe is survived by the Barker Family, Nottnagel Family, Wallior Family, Andersen Family, Culbertson Family and the Wroldsen Family.\r\n \r\nMemorial services will be held Saturday, May 23, 2015, 10:30 AM at St. Peter's Episcopal Church officiated by The Rev. Stockton Williams and Father Tom Murray. Inurnment will be at the St. Peter's Episcopal Church Columbarium with full military honors. \r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.\r\n \r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
