John Warwick McCullough, Jr., 92, died Sunday, June 25th at home surrounded by his loving family. A long time resident of Kerrville, he was born October 29, 1924, in Galveston, Texas. He was a graduate of Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia, and the United States Military Academy. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and served his country honorably.\r\n \r\nOn May 1, 1954, he married Theodora Susan Harrison of West Point, Georgia. He was involved in ranching, real estate and banking, and was a lifetime member of the Presbyterian Church. \r\n \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, John Warwick and Marjorie Williams McCullough, his sisters, Marjorie Brown (C.A.) and Sally Futch (Edward). He is survived by his wife of 63 years and his devoted daughters, Susan DeKoch (Dirk) of San Antonio, Sally Goodwin (Guy) of Houston and Martha Park (Jim) San Antonio. He was blessed with grandchildren, John (Annie) DeKoch, Susie DeKoch, Elizabeth (Brian) Vita, Sarah (Matt) Altman, Will (Christina) Goodwin, Rebekah Goodwin, Harrison (Katelyn) Park, Hannah (Jordan) Needham, and Sam Park, along with great-grandchildren, Addie, Jake and Sam Altman, Mac and Thomas DeKoch, and Harrison and Gage Goodwin.\r\n \r\nGraveside services are Saturday, July 1st, 10:00 a.m. at Garden of Memories Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Thomas W. Currie officiating.\r\n \r\nThe family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Jennifer Aguilar, Patricia Perez, Christina Perez and Lee Ann Garcia for their unwavering care and devotion to him these last months and to Peterson Home, Palliative, and Hospice Care.
