John Martin

John Conrad Martin, 85, of Center Point, passed away on December 10, 2020 in a local hospital. He was born in Altus, OK to Imogene and Ralph Martin on October 12, 1935. \r\n\r\nHe worked as a school maintenance supervisor at Galena Park ISD. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Center Point where he served as a Deacon. He was very active in Little League in his earlier days and served as President of Little League in Channelview, TX. He also liked to fish.\r\n\r\nJohn was a loving husband, father and grandfather. In February, he would have been married for 65 years. \r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. \r\n\r\nSurvivors include wife, Johanna Hart Martin of Center Point; daughters, Kay Sanchez (Louis) of Liverpool, TX and Leann Wasson (Todd) of Cove, TX; son, J.D. Martin (Donna) of Bandera, TX; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Grimes Funeral Chapels. \r\n\r\nGraveside services will be at 10:00 am, Monday, December 14, 2020 at Center Point Cemetery with Rev. Mike Herrington officiating.\r\n
