John Keblinger

John Keblinger died Friday, May 11, 2018, in Methodist Hospital, San Antonio, from injuries received in an automobile accident. He would have been 88 years old in August.\r\n\r\nJohn lived in the Divide Community in West Kerr County on the F.B. Klein ranch which was homesteaded in 1896 by his wife's grandfather. \r\n\r\nJohn grew up in Jasper, Texas. He was drafted into the army during his junior year in Sam Houston State College. When the Korean war was over he went to work for Gulf Oil Refinery in Port Arthur. In 1972 he married Cathie Klein Dowdle and became a full time rancher. Ranching remained his full time occupation until his death.\r\n\r\nJohn is survived by his wife and his brother Jim Keblinger of College Station. John's nieces and nephews drove hundreds of miles and spent many days with him during his extended hospital stay giving him love and comfort.\r\n\r\nNo services will be held.\r\n\r\n
