John Ernest Jordan, 56, of Mason, Texas, passed away on March 23, 2017 in Mason, Texas. He was also born in Mason to Sterling and Carlita Jordan on December 1, 1960. He married Susie Jordan on January 4, 1986 at Art UMC.\r\n \r\nJohn's personality was so special and everyone knew him as a person with a twinkle in his eye, a joke and a story to tell, of course - he was a Jordan! No one was more positive than John even when faced with his illness. Positivity was John's way. Although John lived and breathed work - his family came first in his heart and he loved them dearly.\r\n \r\nHe went to Mason, Texas schools and attended ASU in San Angelo, Texas. John's working career began in the oil industry where he gained valuable experience for future endeavors. In 1986 he became a young business man by obtaining his first company. This led him into the funeral container business. Not being one to sit idly by he worked continuously to perfect these containers. Because of John's tenacity he also researched other products to implement into his business to diversify his company and it became very successful. As such he was very well respected by his many colleges as a business savvy adventurer.\r\n \r\nFollowing his father's lead, John became a member of The Gideon's International and enjoyed serving this organization very much.\r\n \r\nJohn is preceded in death by his mother Carlita Luckenbach Jordan and many other loved Aunts and Uncles.\r\n \r\nJohn is survived by his wife Susie Jordan. His son Stuart Jordan, wife Julia and their son Jack. His daughter Caroline Jordan and future granddaughter Piper. Also surviving John is his father Sterling Jordan, sister Gail Sholar and husband Nolan, brother Max Jordan and wife Jan. Also, nieces and nephews Alina Sholar, Greg Sholar, Lee Jordan, Emily Rhodes as well as many other family members.\r\n \r\nVisitation will be Saturday March 25th from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Art UMC.\r\n \r\nFuneral services will be Sunday March 26th at 3:00 pm at Art UMC with Pastor Tim Fahrenthold of Art UMC, officiating. Burial will follow at Art Cemetery.\r\n \r\nPallbearers will be: Paul Ruff - Darryl Lowe - Dwayne Lowe - David Eckert - Schultz Hadley - \r\nJames Thomas.\r\n \r\nHonory Pallbearers will be: Lee Jordan - Greg Sholar - Gary Donop - Richard Ogden - Curtis\r\nSchrader - Kelby Brown - Mario Troncoso Sr. & Jr. - Tino Troncoso and the members of Art Methodist Church.\r\n \r\nThe family of John Jordan wishes to extend our sincere appreciation to Hill Country Memorial Hospice and all of their fabulous nurses and staff.
