John Hansell Jr.

John Donald Hansell Jr., 62, of Atlanta, GA, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in Mountain Home, TX. He was born in Houston, TX to John and Nancy Hansell on August 9, 1953. He was married to Jo Ann Leonard on October 27, 2003 in Paige, TX.\r\n \r\nJohn went to school at Chamblee High School in Chamblee, GA and graduated college from Georgia Tech University. He worked as an Architect for JSA Architects for 4 years. John was a born again believer and spent his time over the years working in service including Mercy Ships, addiction rehab ministries and animal rescue.\r\n \r\nJohn is preceded in death by John D. Hansell Sr. (Father), Nancy W. Hansell (Mother) and David Carter (Nephew).\r\n \r\nJohn is survived by wife Jo Ann Hansell and siblings Donna Carter, Pat Ledbetter, David Hansell and step children Lance Payne, Rory Payne, and Nicki Taylor.\r\n \r\nA graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, February 26, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockne, TX, with Jack Seefeldt presiding over the service. \r\n \r\nPallbearers will be Elaine Leonard, Michael Hansell, Christian Hansell, Gabriel Hansell, Joshua Hansell, David Hansell and John Carter.\r\n \r\nMemorials may be given in lieu of flowers to Pasture Time Equine Sanctuary of Fredericksburg, TX, www.pasturetime.org.\r\n
