Joe Wallace, age 79 of Kerrville, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017 in a San Antonio hospital. He was born October 21, 1937 in San Antonio to Skylar and Frances (Moon) Wallace. In 1958, he married Barbara J. Munson in Idaho Falls, ID.\r\n \r\nJoe served in the United States Navy where he helped build and design the USS Long Beach, which was the first surface vessel with a nuclear reactor. \r\n \r\nHe was an electrician and enjoyed helping people. He loved his pets, doing projects and garage sales. \r\n \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James; and daughter, Linda Wallace.\r\n \r\nSurvivors include wife, Barbara Wallace of Kerrville; sons, Michael Wallace (Jomelda) of San Antonio, Kenneth Wallace of Kerrville, John Wallace (Janie) of Boerne, and Bill Wallace (Amy) of Heath, TX; brother, Clyde Wallace (Marie) of Plano; grandchildren, Jessica, Michael, Jo Michael, Rachel, Joshua and Hunter; and one great-grandson, Damien. \r\n \r\nGraveside services will be held at 11AM, Friday, July 7, 2017 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.\r\n
