Jose 'Joe' Vicente Guajardo, age 53 of Kerrville, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016 in a San Antonio hospital. He was born March 29, 1963 in San Antonio to Manuel and Mary (Cazares) Guajardo. \r\n \r\nJoe was a veteran of the Army and was employed at the Kerrville State Hospital as a Psychiatric Nursing Assistant. He was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church. Joe was a hard working man who was funny, smart and also artistic. He loved his family, fishing, his music, especially Rock and Roll, and loved the beach. He will be missed by all.\r\n \r\nSurvivors include wife, Gina Guajardo of Kerrville; son, Jose Vicente Guajardo Jr. of Kerrville; sisters, Frances Guajardo, Theresa Guajardo, Carmen Guajardo, Consuelo Torres (Luis) and Mary Guajardo, all of San Antonio; brother, Juan Guajardo of California; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.\r\n \r\nRosary will be held 6 PM, Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Grimes Funeral Chapels with Deacon Sonny Kaufhold officiating.\r\n \r\nMass will be held 10 AM, Monday, October 31, 2016 at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father David Wagner as celebrant.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kerrville State Hospital Volunteer Services.\r\n \r\nThe family would like to express their appreciation for all the prayers, support and love through this difficult time.\r\n
