JoAnne Elizabeth Price passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior on October 14, 2017 in Kerrville, Texas. She was born in Portland, Oregon to William and Marian King on November 2, 1945. She was the firstborn child of five sisters. She married C.B. Price March 18, 1978 in Houston, Texas. They were married thirty-nine years.\r\n \r\nIn 1963 after graduating from Springfield High School in Oregon, she attended Eugene Business College and Prairie Bible Institute in Alberta, Canada. She worked in various secretarial positions in engineering, banking, and legal in the greater Houston metro area.\r\n \r\nIn 1988 JoAnne moved to Hunt, Texas where she lived with CB and her beloved dog, Bud. Known for her love of cooking, her friends were blessed with her fabulous meals and fellowship. She inspired others with her healthy diet and lifestyle and was ready to share and help anyone who was interested. JoAnne was passionate about encouraging others and was an inspiration with her ever cheerful and uplifting attitude. She was always ready to jump in and try something new. She was a help to those in need and did secret volunteer work in the community (never even telling her friends or husband - this fact was discovered by accident).\r\n \r\nJoAnne had a passion for travel especially to her home to see her sisters and family in Oregon and she spent time with CB at her favorite resort in Mexico. She had an adventurous spirit and one of the highlights she always spoke of was her time spent in Greece with her sister Rosalind. She came back and blessed friends back in Texas with wonderful stories and great Greek salad recipes.\r\n \r\nBut, most important to JoAnne was her love of the Lord Jesus Christ and the daily study of God's Word.\r\n \r\nJoAnne was preceded in death by both parents.\r\n \r\nJoAnne is survived by her husband, C.B. Price; sisters, Muriel (King) Cissel, Rosalind (King) Carmack, Kathi (King) Nelson, Wilma (King) Roche and many nieces and nephews. \r\n \r\nShe was greatly loved and will be missed.\r\n \r\nMemorial services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Pastor Robbie Dean.\r\n \r\nThe family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to her close friends for their loving care during her illness. Their many kindnesses are greatly appreciated.\r\n
